AgriScience Pathway
The AgriScience program is designed to prepare students for over 300 career pathways by providing them an overview of the fields of agricultural science, animal science, plant science, and soil science; animal husbandry, soil conservation; and agriculture operations such as farming, ranching, and agriculture business, and natural resources.
The knowledge and skills students develop in AgriScience are experienced through exciting “hands-on” activities, projects, and problems solving tasks. Students will investigate, experiment, and learn about documenting a project, solving problems, and communicating their solutions to their peers and members of the professional community. Students can specifically connect AgriScience lessons with the Supervised Agricultural Experiences and FFA components that are important for the development of an informed agricultural education student.
| Ag Biology | Students in this Agriculture related course will learn how agriculture plays a role in the U.S. and world economy. Students will get "hands on” instruction in preparation in the areas of cell respiration & growth, genetics, taxonomy, microorganisms, animal health, animal nutrition, animal growth and evolution. This course is designed to meet AZ Biology Standards. |

| Advanced Ag Biology | This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of animal anatomy, physiology, genetics, reproduction, growth, nutrition, health, and agribusiness principles. This course is designed to meet AZ Biology Standards. Taking Ag Biology and Advanced Ag Biology will give you a Science credit. |
| Agriscience 1/2 | This course deals with advanced science principles in agriculture. Plant and Animal Biological concepts are further explored and projects related to course content are demonstrated through SAEs, including live shows, science fairs, and independent research. Students will be very active in leading FFA activities, attending FFA conferences, and successful CDE competitions. College and Career preparation is emphasized. |
| Ag Welding | This course is designed to expose students to the design, fabrication and assembly of metal products and their marketing in today's high-tech marketplace. It also introduces MIG welding. Hands-on activities include metal fabrication, welding and projects involving welding, production assembly, and project construction. |
