Cabinetmaking Pathway
The Cabinetmaking program trains individuals to operate, repair, and utilize industrial woodworking machinery for designing and fabricating furniture and cabinets.
Students are equipped for entry-level jobs, further training, and post-secondary education in various occupations, including cabinetmaker, bench carpenter, wood model maker, and more.
Program Completer:
- Students must complete Cabinetmaking 1 A/B and Cabinetmaking 2/3.
DCE Cabinetmaking:
- Must be a program completer.
- This course employs a Diversified Cooperative Education (DCE) methodology, with one teacher overseeing students across various program areas to integrate school-based and supervised work-based learning for the Cabinetmaking Program standards.
Cabinetmaking 1 | Learn basic woodworking skills, including: shop etiquette, safe use of machines and hand tools, assembly process and finishing techniques. Student built projects will enhance all learned skills. |

Cabinetmaking 2/3 | This year-long course focuses on intermediate woodworking skills such as joinery techniques, machinery use, technical assembly, and advanced finishing. It includes student projects, enterprise activities, and CNC programming in both semesters. Prerequisites are Cabinetmaking 1 and instructor approval. **BLOCK CLASS** |
Precision Manufacturing | Students will learn fundamental concepts of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming, focusing on multi-axis machining. Instruction includes current CNC language through simulation software and realistic models, transitioning to hands-on setup and production of actual projects. |
