Introduction to Theatre. Whether you were a born drama queen or an introvert looking to break out of your comfort zone, this class is ideal for mastering the art of public speaking and performance. Fall Semester will cover all the fundamentals, including, but not limited to, History of Theatre, Stage Directions, Audition Techniques, vocal control, movement, characterization, memorization, and improvisation. We will write and perform our own monologues, scenes, and even short scripts. Spring Semester will focus on the specialized skills of theatre, such as accents, stage combat, and musical theatre. The course will culminate in an in -class production, performed for the school.
