Physics is the study of the description and explanation of the motion of objects. Topics include kinematics, basic dynamics, work and energy, momentum, and the composition and resolution of vectors as well as simple machines, circular motion, gravitational mechanics, wave theory, sound, light, geometric optics, and physical optics. Laboratory and problem solving techniques are emphasized.

Prerequisites

MAT 0311/0312 (may be concurrently enrolled).
