CISJ 110: Computer Info Systems—Dual Credit CIS 110

An introduction to hardware, software, data structures, information system analysis, and other topics regarding computer information systems. Content covers historical and contemporary topics with emphasis on database and spreadsheet packages for solving problems from a business perspective. Earn 3 college credits at MCC for CIS110. This is a required general education class for all in-state universities.

CUL 0350: Culinary Nutrition

Credits 0.5 (Per Semester)

In this semester long course, students will study of human nutrition and will help you focus on your personal nutrition and tie effects of diet on the health of the individual. This semester class covers intro to nutrition, dietary planning, portion sizes, nutrient groups and nutrition throughout the life cycle. Natural foods vs. process foods and disease management.

MED 0241/0242: Medical Foundations A/B

Credits 1.0 (0.5 Credits Per Semester)
Students will learn basic medical root words, prefixes, and suffixes, which will be highly important in their chosen medical professions. They will also study cytology, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, and special senses. During second semester, they will study the nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, lymphatic system, urinary system, endocrine system, and reproductive system.

MED 0340: Occupations

Credits 0.5 (Per Semester)

In this semester long course, students will study health care facilities and various medical occupations, develop workplace communication skills, learn basic job skills, and experience job shadowing. Students will set wellness, occupational and further educational goals.

MEDD100: DC Medical Law and Ethics

Credits 0.5

DC Medical Law and Ethics (MEA100) is a Dual Credit Course with MCC for a semester (0.5) high school credit and 3 credits for MCC. This DC course will be used in tandem with HES 113 as part of the CTE Medical Foundations course which is used on the Nursing Pathway.

MEDD113: DC Medical Terminology

DC Medical Terminology (HES113) is a Dual Credit Course with MCC for a semester (0.5) high school credit and 3 credits for MCC. This course will be used in tandem with HES 113 as part of the CTE Medical Foundations course which is used on the Nursing Pathway.
